TITLE: Senior Learning & Development Consultant

REPORTS TO: Leadership, Learning & Development

LOCATION: Regional / Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Learning & Development Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that support consistent, high-quality service delivery across the organization. This role leads instructional design efforts, manages training initiatives, and partners with internal stakeholders to build and sustain effective learning solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop training programs across classroom and digital platforms to support employee performance

Lead instructional design efforts from needs analysis through development, implementation, and evaluation

Create training materials including facilitator guides, e-learning modules, job aids, and assessments

Develop clear learning objectives aligned with business and performance goals

Support training needs tied to new products, systems, and process enhancements

Partner with internal stakeholders to identify training requirements and deliver effective solutions

Facilitate training sessions and team development workshops as needed

Manage multiple training projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met

Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements

Research and implement new learning strategies, tools, and technologies

Maintain awareness of organizational offerings, processes, and compliance requirements

Support vendor and external training partner selection when applicable

Stay current on trends in instructional design, adult learning, and organizational development

Perform additional duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

8+ years of experience in instructional design, learning & development, or related field

5+ years of experience designing and facilitating training programs for adult learners

Experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Suite) preferred

Strong experience designing instructor-led and digital learning programs

Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum development

Ability to assess performance gaps and recommend training solutions

Strong project management and organizational skills

Experience coaching and mentoring team members

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Full-time role with flexibility based on business needs

Occasional travel may be required
